Book 1: Rookwarden
Having arrived at, and based themselves in Daggermark city, amid the hustle to establish a footing and presence with which to spy on Razmir (and maybe others...), the party learns that Aeryn's impromptu mission to discover what has happened at Rookwarden nearly ended in disaster. After Hastur and the Oracle of the Moon's excursion goes awry, it is clear some ill has befallen the Dwarves, and Warpstone is likely involved.
Meanwhile the city Daggermark steps back from the near anarchy of starvation and the unrest associated with it. The Chelaxian interests in the city are poised to make the most gain given the prevailing geo-political forces at work. The party's Kyonin agents are wary that Cheliaxan factions may wrest political control of the city, posing another threat to Kyonin's borders.
Book 1 Player Goals
Advancement to Book 2 requires completion of two key goals.
Key Goal 1:
Find the secret entrance to Rookwarden, learn what happened to the Dwarves, and what is happening in its marble caverns. Information on the Fells can be found here.
Key Goal 2:
Earn enough influence with Factions and NPCs of Daggermark sufficient for the Andoran faction to seize political control of the city.

Game Mechanic Goal: During Book 1, it is a requirement that each player understand Downtime, and begin using the system. Note that completion of Book 1 requires downtime resources.
