The Oracle of Life
A Pathfinder Home Campaign
Campaign History
(Current Date First)
4670
01 Sarenith (current campaign date)
21 Gozran-01 Sarenith
The party receives 30 days of Downtime over these 35 days. The entire month of Desnus (May) is spent in official Downtime, recuperating from the campaign battles to date. You strengthen ties with the Stonegutter Dwarves and the Andoran faction citizenry by trading loot from the siege for gold and Ultimate Campaign resources.
21 Gozran-27 Gozran
The Spring planting festival begins the festival of Planting Week. On the night of the Spring Equinox, the wounded Oracle of the Moon presided over the Ritual of Rebirth, marking what all hope will be an end to "The Winter of Need." Thereafter, a staged exit of an imposter oracle occurs, while Aeryn herself recovers in secrecy with the Stonegutter Clan. She recounts the story of her excursion to Rookwarden.
18-21 Gozran
The party becomes aware that the Oracle of the Moon is in danger. They follow strange signs through the night and arrive at a long-abandoned fortress whose tower remained intact. As they arrive, they witness N'Kiir aiding the Oracle of the Moon in getting into the tower. Thus, N'Kiir officially joins the party. The siege lasts for almost a full day, and when it ends, the party brings the gravely wounded Oracle of the Moon back to Daggermark.
On 19 Gozran, the party fails to meet the Chelaxian faction for the mastadon 'cattle drive' as previously discussed.
14-17 Gozran
The party experiences a series of events. Cerenthir meets a member of his former associations (i.e., Gnarl Greycloak) while in the Rim of Hell tavern. The lizardfolk of Serpentspire March contacted the party about a strange occurrence in the marsh, which turned out to be the first encounter with a mysterious figure who called himself the Necromancer. The party followed him through a dimensional portal seemingly powered by four sconces fed by warpstone. In the entrance to what seemed a frozen dungeon, they were overwhelmed by waves of undead, and fled back the way they had entered. In the middle of crowded Daggermark streets, a party of mercenary halflings attacked the party and were defeated. They turned out to be from the Pathfinder society, but any affiliation with the dead attackers was denied by the Society's Lodge leader, Sidfar Shoresinger (LINK).
06-13 Gozran
The party familiarizes itself within Daggermark (Downtime was received as well). They arrive at their home, obtained by Haster and set up the jewelry business. They made official contact with Dubalaney Gore, the Daggermark Mayor ('for now') and expressed their desire to set up a district representing Kyonin's interest, and were told how that can be accomplished (see the Player Primer).
05 Gozran
After a shortened day of rest, the party learns that more ratlings are scouring the area possibly looking for the party or for Whispertruth. The party departs Whispertruth for the Sardor House, and along the way successfully finds and defeats a large band of ratlings, armed with warpstone weaponry. Successfully completing the first two missions assigned them on behalf of Kyonin, they travel uneventfully by boat to Daggermark.
04 Gozran
Party arrives to the Sardor House where they encounter a new kind of ratling. The ratlings are attacking the guide Silverwing (a Fey NPC residing at Whispertruth), but the party succussfully defends him (or her), after which, they hastily commence the 20-mile night-long journey to Whispertruth.
03 Gozran
The Oracle of the Moon orders the party to depart riverton for Whispertruth immediately. She has heard from the Fey that refugees claiming to be from Rookwarden were found near death along the Dagger river. Apparently they were suffering from warpstone wounds. The party departs in boats for the Sardor House (area 2 of main map) to meet a guide.
02 Gozran
Desperate for food, a marauding group of River Ogres leads a band of Lizardfolk on a coordinated attack upon Riverton. The party single-handedly defends Riverton city hall from attack. After the fray, Signy discovers that the attackers were carrying the clan gear of the Clan Tor d'Arkor mercenaries (see Fall 4669 above), which implies that they came to an unexpected and bad end. Signy sends letters to locate their next of kin. Meanwhile, the party safeguard the gear in their own possesssion.
Gozran 4670
01 Gozran
Vazrun & co. arrive in Riverton (area 1 on main map), where they are assigned Signy as a guide on their route to Daggermark. The Oracle of the Moon (an NPC) assigns the group a task to win favor with the leader of Riverton, and separately, assigns a time-sensitive stealth mission to visit Whispertruth (in Razmiran).
(Campaign begins, late in the month of Pharast, 4670.)
4670
Last week of Pharast 4670
Vazrun, Lothrien, and Cerenthir (PCs) depart Greengold on a mission to establish a diplomatic presence in Daggermark on behalf of Kyonin.
Fall 4669 (prior to campaign start)
Signy (a PC) guides the Druman merchant Bor Quekec and his Clan Tor d'Arkor mercenary guards, up the East Sellen to Mivon
From there, Quekec and co. were headed for Restov in Brevoy. Their fate would later become unknown, while their gear ended up in Riverton.
