To'Masil Vaylen
(Daggermark Heavy Infantry Colonel).
To'Masil Veylen is a senior leader within Andoran House Vaylen, which is the single most important noble family ensuring Andoran independence today (see The Andoran Dilemma). He is 55 years old, and before Andoran's independence To'Masil fought for the loyalists in the Chelaxian civil war against House Thrune. He is one of the three greatest warriors living in the city today, no doubt the most experienced commander, and he holds no love of his former nation's allegiance to the Devils of Hell.
Vaylen maintains many of his old friendships within the Devil's Quarter, but arrived too late to Daggermark to be of help to the Andoran loyalists when Cheliax evicted Andorans (and worse). He is politically astute, and offers no open conflict with the Chelaxian faction. During the winter, he helped reorganize the Andorans into a unified political group. He aims to create a voting district for the Andorans within the Downriver section of the city (near the Elves).

Aldalyn Warmheart
(High-Priestess of Serenrae)
(No Daggermark rank or affiliation)
Aldalyn is a half-orc from Cheliax, raised by her human mother, a priestess of Aroden who had turned to Serenrae after the former's death. Warmheart is a full citizen of Cheliax who has lived independently of national influence since her days as a crusader in Mendev ended some 15 years ago. However, she commands great respect from the Devil's Quarter for her service as a soldier, and great loyalty and popularity from the Daggermark populace for being devoted to the social welfare of the city, particularly during the Winter of Need.
She has a knack for politics in the Chelaxian tradition: seeing the community outside the Rim of Hell suffering of hunger while patrons inside did not, she publically shamed D'Fehr at gouging food prices. Tayo Jeggare was forced to intercede to avoid public calamity, sacrificing money-making opportunities to maintain political goodwill. She has routinely identified food smugglers publically such that no black market for food could take shape enough to harm the city as a whole. it is estimated that almost half of the hangings in Daggermark this winter were the result of her maneuvering. No doubt she has made enemies.

Joanri Chellon
(Priestess of Desna)
(No Daggermark rank or affiliation)
Originally from the wildlands of northeastern Galt, Joanri fell in love with travelling, which led to her work for Desna. Like most Desna priestesses, she is young beyond her years, fit mentally and physically. She has only been the leader in her temple for about a year. Her arrival coincided with the news of Andoran independence, and it was easy for her on a personal level to support Andoran, as well as for her temple to follow her in this regard.
Joanri and Warmheart are often found together. Both have fought off the city's criminals and thugs more than once. Since learning of the Oracle's wounds, she has been at the lead of maintining the facade that Aeryn has departed the city altogether. Now treating that matter as resolved, she focuses on helping minimize damage that Cheliax can do to her friends and allies.
